In terms of alcohol use, 10.5% of adolescents aged 12-17 in Wisconsin had taken part in the behavior in the past month, just slightly above the national average of 9.4%. Additionally, 1.5% of individuals admitted to a substance abuse treatment program in Wisconsin in 2017 were aged 12-17. To overcome the challenges that youth face in overcoming substance addiction, some treatment centers provide adolescent-specific treatment programs.
